When using a slider, I would like to be able to set my own default value, and if possible to register the default value by clicking on it. Some users have complained over that they need to drag the slider back and forth to activate it, in order to get 0 as minimum (and default) value to register. With regard to an alternative default value (other than the minimum value, as it is now), this could be useful e.g. to indicate a previously known mean value to the respondents, and let them indicate their self-perceived difference from the mean (e.g., "how well do you drive as compared to the average Swedish driver").
