Graph: Overlay/compare two separate time periods over each other

"Recently we’ve gotten some requests in which teammanagers are interested in seasonal effects and how it differs this year/season compared to the previous year/season. Currently, it’s not possible to plot two years ’over’ each other in the same graph, which makes it somewhat harder to make comparisons.

Example: searching for something in our Calls data, I would like to see a line for the response amount for 2025 and also one for a response amount for 2026 (after applying this in the date filter). In most widgets there is already a compare-to-period function, however not (yet) in the graphs.

Selecting “this and last year” gives us a broader graph. This makes sense, but I would like a toggle in the settings to be able to add a line for each separate year of data."

    We have a date based series for Bar graph visualizations, but not for Line graph visualizations, which I agree would likely be a better way to construct this. Below is the current bar graph visualization for reference:
