It is time for the Netigator to evolve.
Netigate operates in four countries, and the word shark is remarkably similar in every local language:
Finnish: hai
Swedish: haj
German: Hai
Dutch: haai
This gives us a rare naming opportunity. Netihai combines Netigate with the Finnish word for shark while remaining immediately recognizable—and easy to pronounce—across all our markets.
The shark is also a fitting symbol for Netigate. Sharks are focused, agile and constantly moving forward. They sense what is happening around them and respond quickly—qualities that align naturally with a company helping organizations listen, understand and act on feedback.
Compared with Netigator, the name Netihai is shorter, more distinctive and more closely connected to our Nordic roots. It can also become a genuinely international character: Netihai in Finland, Netihaj in Sweden, NetiHai in Germany and Netihaai in the Netherlands—all clearly members of the same Netigate family.
The Netigator has served us well, but the Netihai represents where we are going: sharper, faster and ready to make waves.
Let the Netigator retire—and release the Netihai.
